How long will it take to receive funding?
It will normally take between 30 – 45 days to receive funding. If you need expedited consideration, please indicate that on the application and the request will be reviewed within three business days.
Will any funds be taxable?
The RK Cares HERO Fund is seeking 501(c)(3) status which, if granted, would mean that contributions are not subject to tax.
Will I have to pay the funds back?
No, the money is a grant and is not required to be paid back.
Who will review my application? Will the information I provide be kept confidential?
A committee made of up RK employees will serve as the Review Committee and all information on RK Cares HERO Fund application will be kept strictly confidential. Members of the committee sign a confidentiality agreement as well. Additionally, following the application review, we will delete any medical related attachment to ensure privacy protection of the applicant’s medical information in the unlikely event of a data breach.
Who is on the application Review Committee?
The members of the Review Committee are kept anonymous to ensure an unbiased process and to further ensure they are not subjected to any undue pressure.
How will I be notified if my request is approved?
You will be notified by email of the Review Committee’s decision.
How often can I apply to receive hardship funding?
You may only receive funding once per year, but you can apply more than once if you submit a funding request that is not approved.
Why do I have to provide documentation?
Providing documentation is necessary for reviewing the validity of any financial hardship. Applications that are submitted without the requested documentation will not be considered by funding.
How long do I need to have worked at RK in order to apply for to the HERO fund?
Applicant must be employed at RK a minimum of six consecutive months to apply for a RK Cares HERO Fund grant.
